Public House Brewing Company: St. James - Experience Craft Beers and Delicious Food

Super comfortable environment, We sat outside in a beautiful garden area. All of the food options were great. All flavorful and fresh. The pizza was cooked in a wood fire pit. We had a mushroom pizza, taco bowl and wagu burger. We so tried a cigar and a stout. Both were tasty!

Public House is the BEST restaurant in Missouri! I have been here with friends, family, date nights, and it never disappoints. Every item on their menu is the most creative/delicious way you could possibly make that specific food. Their drinks and wines are great, and the elevated rustic atmosphere is perfect for every occasion. On top of that, I have always had incredible service and the restaurant is always very clean. If you’re looking for a place to stop on 44, live nearby, or faraway—you HAVE to try Pub House.

Well done!! Fantastic food, wonderful outdoor atmosphere, and the beer/wine flights were on point. Waitress was attentive and very knowledgeable about the drinks and menu. Lawn game equipment you can check out for free so it’s an easy place for the kids to play. Completely fenced in dining area so you don’t have to worry about them running off. Will definitely be coming back!

I had an amazing experience here! My burger was delicious and the highlight of my night here was most definitely the service! Maggie as well as Haylee made me feel at home and part of the public house family. Will return and recommend to my friends :)

Got done visiting the Meramec Caves and decided to stop in for a few drinks and apps on our way back to Springfield. Our waiter Logan was great, super friendly, and very knowledgeable about the beers. We got some seasonal beers that were fantastic. For apps we got the Trout Fritters and Wanton Nachos. The fritter were amazing, great flavor and just the right amount of crunch. The nachos were even better. So full of flavor, and the pairing with the wine jelly was perfect. Whether you are a local or passing through. I’d highly recommend. I would definitely not miss this opportunity for great food and beer.

This place blew me away! All the meat is local and grass fed, they’ve got rosemary sprinkled on the fries, they make their own sauces and spreads. You can have a side salad with no extra charge! Each beer is better than the last one you ordered. There’s a full local wine menu if you or your date prefer wine. The inside is well decorated and comfortable. The staff is kind and helpful. They all seem to be friends and enjoy working there. Check Public House out!

The staff (Amy) were amazing, good food and great atmosphere. Laid back brewery with some really cool menu items and great patio space. We took the dogs and stopped for a bite, well worth it and suggested to stop for any weary travelers or brewery enthusiasts.

Love the atmosphere, the music , or the food a bit beyond pub grade the name suggests. These folks have worked hard on their appearance, whether food or surrounding areas. Try Anthony's Pacification a Russian Imperial Stout dark, aged in casks. Oh, and it's a 10% beer that has a great taste to it. Enjoy!
